Giant Loop Saddlebags

Picture
For Valentine's Day, I got this set of Giant Loop saddlebags. This is the smallest size currently available, perfect for day trips. We installed it in this parking lot, and did not have a lighter with us. Thus, the extra straps are tied across the seat. At home, we trimmed those down so there's no longer any extra strap length.

This day pack is small, and works best for day trips rather than overnight camping. There isn't enough space in the pockets to put much more than some warm layers and snacks, but that is perfect for my use. I plan on leaving this one full-time, and just strapping a larger bag over the top for camping adventures.

I like the stealth black; although these do come in lots of colors like orange and yellow.

The small built-in gab at the back replaces the stock bag. The rack works well under this, but this would have fit well even without the rack since the weight is on the seat itself and not the rear fender. I give this set of saddlebags a thumbs up!

At first, we put them on too far forward by accident, because it seemed like we should leave the stock bag on the rack. Then we realized it looked kind of odd, so we took off the stock bag and moved the Giant Loop bags back on the bike to the "after" photo position below. Much better.

BEFORE - Too far forward

AFTER - Further back; perfect!
