Booty Lift
We chopped off the factory tail piece to give it a "lift" and more streamlined look. Who needs mud protection anyway??? We took a grinder and just cut right across it. The plastic melted as the grinder did its work, we then used the grinder edge to polish the edges, which got covered by the license plate when we put the plate back on.
These photos are actually outdated, because we did not stop here. This was a nicer trimmed look, but the license plate still hung too low and the taillight was to large for our esthetic preference.
So the booty lift continued when we installed a new tail light... click here for that later mod. The back end now looks a lot different than what you see before, but this was a good interim look for a while.
